AKA's Celebrate 60th with WINNING IMAGES VIDEO
The East St. Louis chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, incorporated is celebrating it's 60th Anniversary.
And when organizers decided to make a big screen presentation during the soririty's celebratory
luncheon, they relied on WINNING IMAGES.
Producer Tony Miller teamed up with sorority member Daphne Dorsey to create a documentary short that looked back at the formative years of the chapter, as well as the impact it's had on the community. One highlight was an interview with the only founding member still alive. "That aspect alone was very important to us," said Dorsey. "The documentary is a gift to future generations."
The video also featured historic photos, including ones of the founding members.
